Bunk Beds?

So Parker has been in a "big boy" bed since just before eighteen months old, when he learned to climb out of his crib. First he used a cute toddler bed that we borrowed from our awesome friends. It used his crib mattress and was perfect for a while. For over a year, Parker has slept in a twin mattress, but it was just on the floor. Originally we did that because we didn't have to worry about him falling out. Well, his matress is still on the floor and I've been thinking that I might want to get a bed frame. I'm trying to plan ahead though. At some point in the future, Jason and Parker will surely share. At first I probably won't want bunk beds because Jason might be too little for me to want to have a ladder in his room. I'll definitely want the option, though. So, here's my question: Does anyone have any good ideas on where to buy the kind of bunk beds that also double as regular twin frames? I was thinking of checking out KSL, but let me know your ideas.

IKEA! They have great options, space & budget friendly. I know enough people who've bought there furniture & are quite happy with it.

I looked on KSL for a long time and bunk beds go sooo fast! We finally found some at the Room Loft in Brigham City. They are quite sturdy and they were a really reasonable price. They work well as a twin bed too, right now we just have Carly's bed set up since Brandon is still happy in the crib. So maybe check it out there.

I got a trundle bed for the grandkids at IKEA but it isn't your typical trundle. The bed pulls out and it makes the twin a huge king. But it doesn't separate into two twin beds. We also saw this really cute bunk bed at RC Willey outlet. They separate into two twins and they had these stairs next to the headboard that are really wide and safe for the kids to climb up also the bottom bed has a little trundle that pulls out. It was amazing but the drawbacks are it takes up a lot of room and it wasn't that cheap. If I remember right it was about $1200thats with getting mattress's for both beds.

You might be okay just getting regular bunk beds. That's what Brit currently has. I've never put the ladder in his room, but he's somehow figured out how to get to the top bunk on his own. Boys. I'm sure that Parker will be the same. When Stratton is old enough to move into the bunks I'll continue to keep the ladder out and just let Brit monkey himself up and down like he's been doing! ;)
