I love my Savior, Jesus Christ and am so thankful for His example, His love and most of all His atonement. Through it He has provided a way for us to be redeemed. I can't imagine how it would be to lose your loved ones and believe that you will never see them again. I know that isn't true. I will have the chance to see my grandfathers and others who have passed away. For that I am truly thankful. I am also so grateful for the restoration of the gospel. Through it I was able to gain an understanding and testimony of all of these things.
Here's a random picture of Parker with some of his other good buddies, Braxton and Isaiah.

I was a sorority girl-well sort of. When I was attending the U of U both prior and post mission, I was in an LDS Lambda Delta Sigma sorority. I met some of my best friends in Beta and still keep in touch with many of them. We had so much fun together in college. I have more pictures, but they're hidden away in my "To Be Sorted" tupperware of old photos.
Anyway, today we had a reunion of sorts. A bunch of us met for lunch, including one of our advisors. I loved seeing so many old friends!
It was so great to catch up with all of the girls who were able to make it! We missed everyone who couldn't be there, but we'll definitely have to do it again soon!
I just want to give a big shout out to all of the Veterans and their families. It is a huge sacrifice to give of your time, your energy, your talents and sometimes even your lives to preserve our freedom. Thank you for your willingness to leave your loved ones in our behalf.
All of Brad's and my grandfathers1 served in the armed forces. The photo above is of my dad's dad while he was serving as a doctor in the Coast Guard. I wish that I had pictures of all of our grandfathers in their uniforms, but unfortunately I don't. I also wigh that I knew more about their experiences. I am so grateful for their service.
There are so many friends who have and are serving that I can't pay special tribute to them individually, but I hope that they all recognize how much we appreciate their service! Hopefully we can all be better about always honoring them.
