Brush "Teetch"

Liesel LOVES to brush her teeth.  Whenever she walks near the bathroom, she says, "teetch, teetch" and tries to get to her toothbrush.  I turn on the water to a tiny trickle and let her brush away while a fix her hair most days.

Wheeler Creek Trail

For our family hike a few weeks ago we went near Pineview Reservoir to the Wheeler Creek Trail.

We love our Saturday morning hikes!

Ocean Art

It has been a little while since we did a good art project, so we decided to do one.  The kids darkly colored fish, turtles, crabs and other sea creatures with crayon.  Afterwards they painted the ocean with blue watercolor.
Do you like Jason's "happy face" for the camera?

William 2nd Birthday Party!

Our cute nephew William turned two years old!  His parents threw him an ice cream party at GG's pool.
Everyone loves jumping off the diving board!
Jason is so daring to jump off the board!  He doesn't even plug his nose!

Parker kept doing this funny flip!
Parker got daring enough to jump without his puddle jumper.  After the first time to Grandma, he started just swimming to the side himself!  For as long as he can hold his breath, he's a good little swimmer!
When she isn't swimming, Liesel's favorite thing is to jump back and forth between the chairs.
Liesel dangling her feel in the pool watching Will and Grandma
Grandma brought this floatie the the kids all loved!
Parker is really improving in his swimming.  As soon as he can master breathing without needing to put his feet down, he'll be ready to cruise around in the deep end!

Liesel experimented with Jada's old puddle jumper.  She needs assistance, but she did pretty well!
Will and Liesel kept tickling Isaac's toes.  They thought it was hilarious!  Look at those happy faces!
Liesel waving to me on the floatie!
  Liesel jumping to Daddy!
Liesel begging some of Will's ice cream cone, which he willingly shared!  We helped her get her own so she wouldn't keep stealing the birthday boy's, ha, ha!
Thanks Jen and Eric for a wonderful party!

Eight Happy Years!

In June Brad and I had our eighth wedding anniversary.  It landed on the weekend before his week-long Scout camp, so Brad asked if we could celebrate a few weeks late.  I had seen an idea on pinterest where they gave their spouse a small gift every hour.  I decided to modify it and give him a little something every day for eight days.  Since our anniversary was on a Friday, he opened three before leaving and the other five while at camp.
I know it seems weird to give Gatorades, candy and beef jerky as an anniversary gift, but Brad loves that stuff and it's stuff he could enjoy at camp.  I also included a little note or coupon to go with each day.
A couple weeks later we celebrated together.  Brad had originally thought of an idea down in Salt Lake, but had to plan something else since he had a softball game.  I took the kids down to Brad's parents' for the night.  When Brad arrived home from work he had picked up Olive Garden take-out.  He spread out a blanket in the living room and we enjoyed a delicious dinner and then watched our wedding video.  Then we went to his softball game.  It was kind of nice to watch without having to keep an eye on all of our crazy kids!
The next morning we ate a good breakfast and then went on a little hike on Birdsong Trail.  There is a little bench halfway that faces a tiny waterfall.  We sat there and talked before heading to pick up our kids.
I am so happy to be married to Brad!

Longtime Friends and a Cool Park

I took the kids down to Salt Lake to sleep over at Brad's parents' the first Friday in July.  Earlier that morning I met up with some friends that I met when my family moved into a new neighborhood when I was twelve.  We've been friends ever since, but haven't gotten together in a long time.  My friend Toni has lived in different states for the past several years, but was in town from New Mexico.  We met up at Nicholls park in Fruit Heights.  It has a castle theme and is super cool!  Toni and I visited while the kids played.  Here is Parker with his captain's pose:
Jason and Liesel on the slide.

This is a seriously awesome playground!
Can you see Parker and Jason's little heads peeking over the top?
Then we headed down to City Creek to meet our friend Janet for lunch.  It's fun that we were all friends in seventh grade and now, two decades later (we're old) we still get a chance to catch up.
We ate a Kneader's, which of course the kids loved!

Brad's Softball

Brad just finished up his softball season with the Cubs.  They won all but two games!
Brad has been playing right field this year.  A few of the games he has been rather busy out there.
 Out!
Brad had to slide into third once.  The picture was taken a few seconds late, but you can still see all the dust.
When he ran home he had to leap over a bat.
Brad usually hits quite well.  He nearly always gets on base and often hits other runners home.
The kids enjoy going to the games.  They climb all over the bleachers (which luckily are only a few rows high).  They always cheer on Daddy when it's his turn at bat.
Jason accidentally threw a toy that got stuck up in the fence.  Parker offered to climb up and get it.
Way to go on a great season Brad!
