Luxury, Luxury, Luxury

I heard about this on the news and saw these pictures on an email a couple of months ago, but I still can't get over how ridiculously and beautifully luxurious this home is. You'll be truly amazed.
On an unrelated topic, Brad gave me the most beautiful rose. It is nearly a week old and just keeps getting more lovely.

We love Easter!

Parker and Isabelle dyed Easter eggs a few days before Easter. Parker actually wasn't feeling very well on Easter weekend. He had a fever and an ear infection, but even that didn't completely slow him down. On the Saturday before we went to two Easter egg hunts, one in Springville with the Pratts and one at Grandma Ipson's with the Aldous and Ipson cousins. Here are some pictures of Parker searching for Easter eggs.

Here are Parker, Isabelle, Saidee, Abby and Adam.
Parker loves hiding and finding things, so Easter egg hunts are wonderful!
Parker and Isabelle recieved cool Touch & Feel books for Easter from their Grandma and Grandpa Pratt. Thank you!
Here is a picture my sister Julie took on Easter of Parker. It turned out pretty well condsidering that he didn't feel too great.
We want to take this opportunity to express our gratitude for Jesus Christ and his Atonement. His resurrection is the reason for Easter and we are so thankful for the knowledge we have that there is life after death. It is so comforting to know that we will be able to see our loved ones who have died, when our time in this life ends. We hope that you had a marvelous Easter as well.

Busy at work

These past two weeks have been super busy at Reid School. We had our annual Shakespeare Performances. I had to choreograph and teach 24 students a medieval dance.
My class also did County Fair today, which culminated hours of work on their part to create reports, posters and 3-D models on Utah Counties. They gave oral reports to the students and parents who visited our fair.
Usually my students wear uniforms. A few of them are wearing them today, but they had the option to wear a "costume" for their county, so most of them took advantage of that. It has been a fun time, but I'm really looking forward to next week's spring break.

Parker is officially two!

This is Parker holding up his fingers and saying that he's two. We celebrated by letting him blow out candles on Rice Krispies Treats.
Here is a picture of my cute nephew Adam when he was over at our house the other day.

Parker's Party

We had Parker's birthday party on Saturday. I can't believe how quickly time flies! Another year has passed and Parker is as fun as ever. Here are some pictures of Parker at the party.

Here is a picture of Parker showing off the cool mittens his grandma knitted for him!

We have afternoon church on Sundays, so we try to put Parker down for an early nap before church. Of course he isn't tired yet, so he usually just plays. Then after church he is either super-grumpy or falling asleep in his dinner. One day I went into check on him and this is what I found: He never ceases to amuse us, that is for sure.

One of my students

One of my past students is on the front page of the Deseret News today. The caption reads "Veronique Moses offers encouragement to 12-year-old Hamadi Ado at her home in Salt Lake City. Hamadi has bad memories of life in Kenyan refugee camps. (Laura Seitz, Deseret Morning News)"
I taught Hamadi a few years ago at Lincoln Elementary. I was teaching third grade and he moved into my class a few months into the year. He was a refugee straight from Kenya and he didn't speak any English. He made great strides that year. It was fun to see his picture in the paper. Here is a picture of him with some of my other students on the last day of third grade in 2005.
