Valentine's

Brad gave me these gorgeous roses for Valentine's Day!
Brad was still studying like crazy for his CPA exams, but he did take time off to be with us.  The night before the young women watched the kids for a couple hours as a service project, so Brad and I went out to dinner at Roosters, since we had a gift card.  On Valentine's morning I helped out with Parker's class party.
We ate some special foods, like these heart sandwiches.
That night we had a candlelight dinner complete with sparkling cider!
I love my cute valentines!

Cutie Pies

I tried to take some photos of the cute girlies, but they weren't very cooperative.

Grandma Aldous is very talented with her crochet.  She made these adorable booties for Elise!
I am a lucky Mommy!

I love these Sweet Cheeks!
All of the kids enjoyed feeding Ellie her rice cereal.
For Parker's 7th birthday he got this gem kit from Grandma and Grandpa Pratt.  He had so much fun extracting the stones!
 I love this beauty!
Silly Liesel Love!
Parker also got a Trebuchet contraption from Ben and Angie.
All of the kids adore Elise.  Jason is especially tender-hearted and loves to make Elise laugh.
Liesel has so much personality!  She loves these pink boots and insists on wearing them almost every day, ha, ha!
I decided to cut bangs for the first time in a very long time.  They aren't fully cooperative, but it's a nice change.

Stiches, Again!

Liesel tripped and split her lip on the TV stand at her grandparents'.  It had only been about eight months since her last stitches, crazy girl!  You can see the scar from the first injury on her forehead and her split lip.  We didn't want her lip line to be jagged, so we decided to take her in.  First we went to InstaCare, but the physician insisted we take her to Primary Children's.  You can hold a head still, but there isn't any way to stabilize lips, so she needed sedation.
It was almost 10:00 p.m. at night, but she was in good spirits in the waiting room.
At first she was running around in the waiting room.  They gave her Versed, which mellowed her out a bit and a local anesthetic.  They put arms her in a "cape", which was like a pillowcase behind her and then they wrapped her up like a burrito.  They had to do four stitches.  The first two she didn't move much, but the last two she was screaming and writhing.  It was heartbreaking, but luckily the first two stitches held tight while they finished up.  They wanted to monitor her for a half hour afterwards, so they brought in a popcicle and a plush red bird.
Hopefully this manic can calm down and not be back to urgent care for a while.
