On the day before Easter our church held a potluck lunch and candy hunt. The boys loved it! Here is Parker searching by his friend Cole Bingham.
Jason found a lot of treats too.

Getting the boys to look at the camera is nearly impossible sometimes.

I made pillow cases for the boys and a hooded towel for Liesel. I was only going to give them those, an Usborne math book and then Parker a Book of Mormon. I went to Seagull Book and lost all resolve. This is what the kids ended up with.

At our house the Easter Bunny hides the baskets and the eggs and the kids have to find them. After they did, Brad and I had another surprise. We had a little treasure hunt. They were given clues to help them find hidden eggs around the house.

Finally they made their way to this new painting for the boys' room. Both boys love it, especially Jason. He's often talking about the "Armor of Dod" picture.

We also got this new painting as well. I love Easter, because it reminds me how grateful I am for Our Savior. I love that because He was resurrected, we will be able to be resurrected one day as well. Death is so sad and if it were a final goodbye it would be devastating. I am so grateful to Christ.
