Fire Station

The fire station up the street had it's annual open house this week. Brad had a double header in softball that night. We went to his first game and then the kids and I headed to the fire station. All of their vehicles were available to see inside. Here are the boys in an ambulance:

"Driving" the fire engine:
...or lounging in the driver's seat, ha!
Here are the boys on the front:
Liesel was with us too! She was mostly content just to watch.
The AirMed helicopters landed in the parking lot next door and later took off, circled around and passed overhead at super speeds.
Both boys got a chance to sit inside:
At the end we took a ride around the parking lot in a fire engine. The lights, the sirens, the horn ...the whole shebang! The kids may not look thrilled in this photo, but it was really pretty exciting, even for me.
Thank you firemen (or possibly fire women) for inviting us to your station and even more for the wonderful services you provide!
