My Birthday and Nights Out With My Favorite Guy

A couple weeks ago, on my birthday, Brad and I let the kids sleep over at my parents' and we headed out to Tepanyaki, which is one of our very favorite restaurants.
Then we headed to Hale Center Theatre to watch My Fair Lady. It was amazing! The actors and actresses were so talented! Everyone had such great voices and did such a fantastic job. We loved it so much, in fact, that we already bought tickets to A Christmas Carol next month. We went to that show a few years ago and are looking forward to seeing it again.
The next morning we did a session at the Bountiful Temple. It is always so peaceful in the Lord's House and it helps me regain my eternal perspective.

That afternoon we had a quick party with my parents and in-town siblings. I'm not looking at the camera, but Parker is smiling while doing "heavy hangover".
Liesel's little grin is cute in this photo.
To top off my wonderful birthday weekend, on Sunday Brad gave me a compilation of fun memories and compliments my friends and family had written for me. I LOVE IT!

Skipping ahead to this last weekend: On Friday night, Brad took me to Abravenal Hall to enjoy the Utah symphony perform Liszt's Mephisto Waltz #1, Walton's Violin Concerto and Beethoven's 7th Symphony. There was a spectacular violinist that soloed during the concerto. Abravenal Hall is so lovely with it's shimmering chandeliers and gold-plated walls.
Generally speaking, we hardly attend any cultural events. We always enjoy them when we go, so I'm so pleased we have been able to attend some lately. Hopefully we can start to make it a habit!
