We were blessed to have a new church building built for us! Our area has a lot of growth. We moved into our home four years ago. Almost three and a half years ago, a new stake was created and we became a part of it. As part of the changes, a new ward was created as well. The bishop's two counselors became part of the new ward, so the bishop called new ones, including Brad. Since then, one of the wards in our stake has been meeting in a church building outside of our stake. At the beginning of June, our new ward house was completed!
My favorite part of meeting in the new building is that we moved times. Instead of 1-4, we now meet from 11-2!
Today, Brad was released from being 2nd counselor in the bishopric. The first counselor, Brother Deem, moved so he needed to be released. The Stake presidency called Brad to be first counselor and Brother Ozmun was called to be the new second counselor.
