Camping

We were able to go camping this weekend up in the Uintah Mountains near Kamas. My mom was kind enough to drive all over finding an available campsite and the one she found was perfect! We all had a fabulous time!
Parker loved exploring the mountains. He wanted to touch all of the sappy trees, play in the dirt and poke sticks in the firepit before we built a fire. The result is one very fifthy and blissfully happy boy.
Brad showed off his manly chopping skills and cutting firewood and later making a roaring blaze.
The kids loved watching their daddy chop wood! Parker was beside himself with excitement when Daddy let let him "help".
Parker and Grandpa are mesmerized by the fire. Jason seemed to really enjoy everything about his camping experience as well.
Parker is looking rather serious, but he liked roasting and loved eating his marshmallows. He didn't want to even wait for us to put it in a s'more.
He was so very thrilled to be sleeping in a sleeping bag in a tent. Both he and Jason slept great in the tent. Brad and I didn't sleep too well. We are spoiled rotten with our sweet bed at home, so we never sleep too well anywhere else.
While in the mountains we saw squirrels, chipmunks and birds. We saw an awesome hawk by Rockport Reservoir on our way home, but I didn't have the camera ready.
We all had a wonderful time enjoying the trees, fire, stars, the overall camping experience, and certainly the company. Thanks Mom, Dad and Angie for letting us tag along with you camping! We had a great time and look forward to going again!

So much fun! Eric and I want to go camping for a couple of days so bad, but I need to get over my fear of bears first :)
