Valentine's Day Weekend

We had already made plenty of Valentine crafts, so on Friday we decided to make Chines lanterns. The only thing I helped him with was the folding of the paper and a little taping at the end. Parker did all of the coloring and cutting himself.

Here are our finished lanterns:

On Saturday we got up early and headed out to visit some of our grandparents. We started out with the Carlsons and then headed down to Springville. We had a great visit and in the afternoon some of Brad's cousins came over and we decorated cookies. Jason had fun showing off his walking to everyone and hanging out with Katie. I didn't get a picture, but Landon and Brad spent most of the time entertained by the kids and watching the Olympics. Here are Katherine, Mandy and Kaiti frosting cookies.

Brad's parents came by too, so we got to see them as well. The boys weren't very cooperative for a picture, but they sure love Great-Grandma Pratt! We also visited my Grandma Cannon and had a lovely dinner with Grandma Ipson earlier in the week. We are so lucky to have so many living grandparents that live close enough to visit. We love them all so much! We also stopped by and visited my parents, Angie and Ben. On Sunday Parker gave his first talk in Primary. He spoke on Jesus Christ as our Savior and Redeemer and did a great job! What a cute kid! For dinner we had homeade sweet and sour chicken in honor of Chinese New Year. Brad waas kind enough to clean everything up and do all the dishes. On Monday Brad got the day off. He had to spend a lot time studying, but in the evening we went out to dinner and bought bunk beds. Parker is so excited!
It was a great weekend!
