Today was deep-cleaning day. Normally I try to spread it out and do some every day so that it won't require a full-day's effort, but today I began and just kept at it. I scrubbed the bath tub, reorganized the drawers, mopped the kitchen floor, vacuumed the stairs, washed the base boards and razor-cleaned my stove top. I thoroughly cleaned the kitchen, both bathrooms and made sure that all the other rooms were de-cluttered and cleaned too. I really strive to keep it this way most of the time, but tomorrow would definitely be a great time to come visit us!
Now, I don't especially savor the opportunity to do manual labor all day. What I do love, however, is a nice clean house and the satisfaction that comes from knowing that I had the self-discipline to do it and do it well.

Hot dang. Can you come to my house please? And can we see any prego pictures of you?! I want to see that cute girl popping out. :) I love the name Brielle. It just is so fancy but also pure. I think you should go there. :) Mylee and Sabrina are super cute too. I'm sure that you'll pick the right one. :) Love ya
Amazing...both that you have enough energy for all that work and that your boys didn't follow behind you messing up everything you did (that's how it is done at my house).
I did that a couple weeks ago and the house already looks just as it did before I cleaned it! Ugh.
It's so true that with kids it gets messed up again right away. The good news is that I know it was sanitized yesterday. Even though it looks messy again, at least I can be sure it isn't germy or anything.
Isn't that just the life of a mom; You can't finish your "inbox" and be finished. Almost everything you do- laundry, dishes, diaper changes, cleaning- it never stays done. Oh well!
