During the last week of June Brad spent Wednesday through Saturday up at Scout Camp. It was at Aspen Ridge in southern Idaho. He left just after five in the morning on Wednesday to head up there so he could make it for their eight-mile hike. Luckily he actually took a few pictures of the hike with his phone.

There were seven boys up at Scout Camp and two leaders: Brother Urry and Brother Keyes. Brad is the bishopric counselor over the Scouts, so he has been heading up to at least three days of Scout camp for the last few years.

Brad likes hanging out with the boys and enjoys the beautiful mountains.

The boys sit around talking about important things, like whether they'd rather have a green-lantern-style ring or the Force. Brad would definitely opt for the latter.

I'm glad that the boys have such great leaders. From what Brad has told me, the Scouting program helps teach the young men to strive to be honorable good men. Their opportunities as Deacons helps them strengthen their testimonies of the gospel. I'm so glad that the youth have that guidance. Brad is already looking forward to when Parker and Jason are old enough to join Scouts.

Every year we miss Brad while he's gone, but we're glad he's able to go and enjoy camp.
