So we actually started this as a motivation for Jason with his potty-training. Unfortunately he still isn't very motivated. We gave each of the boys a little jar and they could choose a prize. Jason chose going to a museum with the family and Parker chose to earn these little Nerf guns that had been another failed attempt at motivating Jas to use the potty. Since Parker obviously doesn't need that, we decided that if he went the extra mile in cleaning up, then he could earn a penny for his jar.
Parker was quite motivated. Often when he'd pick up his little jar he'd say, "This Little Guy is going to be playing with those!" pointing to the photo of him on the front holding the guns.
He asked me about extra jobs and helped me do undesirable jobs like cleaning out the junk drawer. Fifty pennies later, here he is with his Nerf guns. Way to go, Parker!
